Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for accounts, balances, transfers, and payments
- Deliver features from technical design to production, with tests, monitoring, and alerting
- Process transfers and payments exactly once, ensuring clear transaction states, safe retries, and complete audit trails
- Integrate with banks and payment partners, handling delays, errors, and duplicate messages safely
- Support daily batch processing and reconciliation, and help fix mismatches at the root
- Write clean, well-tested code and take an active part in code reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of professional backend engineering, including running services in production
- Strong in Java, Go or another modern backend language
- Good understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven design, and reliability basics
- Hands-on with relational databases (transactions, locking, query tuning), caching (Redis), and messaging
