Build and lead development of an enterprise AI agent platform on Azure
Own the engineering end-to-end for an AI agent platform that designs, orchestrates, runs and governs AI agents for enterprise processes. The platform is built on Microsoft Azure using C#/.NET, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, knowledge graphs, RAG and vector databases. You will lead a small senior team, handle architecture, hands-on coding, CI/CD, multi-tenancy, security and cost control while reporting directly to the founders.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the architecture of an AI agent platform on Microsoft Azure
- Write hands-on code in C#/.NET for core platform components
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Implement infrastructure as code for multi-tenancy, security and cost control
- Lead and mentor a small senior development team
- Ensure production readiness of AI agents through testing and governance
Requirements
- Proven experience shipping AI agents in production
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET development
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development
- Fluent German and English language skills

Strategy & Transformation Consulting (s&t) | Head of Development – AI Agent Platform | REMOTE (Germany) | Full-time | German C1+ required We are a German strategy & transformation consultancy building our own product: a platform to design, orchestrate, run and govern AI agents for enterprise processes – built entirely on Microsoft Azure in C#/.NET (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel/Agent Framework, MCP, knowledge graphs, RAG, vector DBs). We are looking for the person who owns the engineering end-to-end: architecture, hands-on coding, CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, IaC), multi-tenancy, security, cost control, and leading a small senior team. Must have: AI agents that are in production today (tell us which and where), strong C#/.NET, deep Azure, 5+ years of professional software development, fluent German and English.
