ABOUT US Founded in 2019 and part of Y Combinator's 2020 cohort, Photoroom https://www.photoroom.com is the leading visual solution for e-commerce. We've raised Series B funding and reached 300+ million users worldwide, processing over 5 billion images annually and serving both small businesses and major enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through our mobile app, web platform, and API. We're a team of 100+ passionate builders giving e-commerce businesses superpowers to create visuals that help them grow, making the hardest parts of selling online disappear. We focus on craft, innovation, and collaboration to create exceptional impact for e-commerce businesses worldwide. ROLE SUMMARY We are hiring a VP of Sales to build Photoroom's global sales-led business into one of the company's major growth engines. Sales-led revenue is still early, at roughly $5-6M today. The foundations are real: strong enterprise customers, product-market fit in marketplaces, a growing pipeline, a large existing user base, and a team of 14. The opportunity now is to take that from early traction to a repeatable global engine, with the ambition to build towards $100M in sales-led revenue over the next few years. This is not a role for someone looking to apply a mature SaaS playbook to an already-defined market. You will need to decide where we play, sharpen the ICP, help shape pricing, build the sales operating system, raise the bar on the team, and stay close enough to customers to personally help win the deals that matter. One of Photoroom's biggest advantages is our existing product adoption. A core part of the job is figuring out how to turn that into enterprise growth: identifying organisations already using Photoroom, reaching the right buyers, landing strategic accounts and expanding across seats, usage, workflows and API consumption. You will work closely with our CEO and leadership team, and partner deeply with Product, and Marketing. WHAT YOU WILL OWN Build the revenue engine - Own the global sales-led revenue number, strategy, and execution - Define and continuously sharpen our ICP, segmentation and go-to-market priorities - Build the next stage of our enterprise motion beyond our existing strength in marketplaces, including retailers, e-commerce brands and other high-potential segments - Partner on pricing and commercial strategy as we enter new segments - Build predictable pipeline coverage and a sales motion that scales internationally - Own expansion and NRR through the enterprise Customer Success organisation, treating expansion as a revenue engine rather than a support function Raise the operating bar - Build a disciplined sales operating system across qualification, pipeline, forecasting, CRM hygiene and deal reviews - Bring strong qualification discipline, whether through MEDDPICC or an equivalent methodology, and make it something the team genuinely uses rather than a CRM checkbox - Improve deal size, sales-cycle efficiency and productivity - Use AI and automation to increase sales leverage rather than scaling headcount linearly - Bring clear, reliable forecasts to the CEO and leadership team Build and lead an exceptional team - Lead the existing Sales and enterprise Customer Success organisation across New York and Paris - Assess the team quickly, develop strong performers and make the hard calls when the bar is not being met - Hire exceptional people and build the organisation around the sales motion we need, rather than around the structure we happen to have today - Create a culture of ambition, accountability, customer focus and high-quality execution - Coach leaders and team members while remaining close enough to the work to understand what is actually happening in deals Lead from the front - Personally engage in our largest and most strategic opportunities - Build relationships with senior customer stakeholders and strategic partners - Help the team construct strong business cases and quantify customer value - Know when to step into a deal and when the AE should remain in the lead - Represent Photoroom with customers, partners, and the market Make Sales a strong cross-functional partner - Build an effective operating rhythm with all teams and in particular with Product, Marketing and Finance - Turn field insight into useful product and market feedback - Partner closely on enterprise product strategy - Bring customer needs, commercial opportunity and company priorities together when making trade-offs WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Ideally, you have already operated through the stage we are entering. In particular: - You have helped scale a B2B sales-led organisation through roughly the $5M to $50M+ revenue stage, with clear evidence - You have personally owned significant revenue, ideally $10M+ - You have operated internationally and can lead effectively across multiple markets and cultures - You understand complex mid-market and enterprise selling, including long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and seven-figure opportunities - You have built or materially improved the sales operating system: pipeline, qualification, forecasting, methodology, and performance management - You have entered new segments, markets or regions and can explain how you chose where to play rather than simply executing against an ICP someone else gave you - You combine ambition with humility. You are direct about misses, curious about what you do not know, and put the company's success ahead of ego - You are still comfortable getting into important deals personally - You use data to make decisions without becoming dependent on perfect information, and you are genuinely interested in using AI. LOCATION This is not a remote role. New York is our preferred location, given the importance of the US market for us. We are also open to candidates based in Paris. In either case, this is a global leadership role. You should expect regular travel between our New York and Paris offices and time with customers internationally. DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING We're committed to enabling everyone to feel included and valued at work. We believe our company and culture are strongest when composed of diverse experiences and backgrounds. That's also why we have flexible working hours, trust people to work in a hybrid environment, and extended parental leave. All qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, family, gender identity, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
