Staff Accountant- Fully Remote (US)

New York, New York (United States) Client: Software/Tech Organization Role: Staff Accountant (Temporary to Hire) Pay Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr Location: Fully Remote Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Accounting: Prepare and post routine and complex journal entries. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly. Hands on experience with AP accruals and full cycle AP required Month-End & Year-End Close: Play an active role in the financial close process by running reports, calculating accruals, tracking prepaid expenses, and ensuring timely reporting. Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations; investigate and resolve any discrepancies. Accounts Payable & Receivable Support: Assist with billing, payment processing, expense report audits, and vendor/customer inquiry resolution as needed. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in drafting monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and variance analysis against budgets.
