IT Application Configuration Analyst - Remote

Akron, Ohio (United States) Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Application Configuration Analyst - Remote position with a Major Utility Company located in Akron, OH. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. Remote location cannot be in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time. Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: An IT Application Configuration Analyst on the Analytic Services team is responsible for working with business units and IT to deliver and maintain applications that enable business transformation. The IT Application Configuration Analyst focuses on technical solutions and applications, understanding business processes and translating them into work projects in the form of analytics and dashboards. They will participate in the production support and enhancement lifecycle of the client's analytic systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage projects related to applications and hardware supported by the Analytics team Manage work assignments given to internal and external developers to ensure timely completion of deliverables Assist in managing reporting environments to adhere to IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) Controls and CIP regulations Work with Business developers to promote Power BI Governance and self-service analytics Plan and facilitate Power BI user group monthly meetings Handle and manage support tickets as they arise Primary Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical discipline with 7+ years related experience, or 9+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree Related experience should include configuring or administering systems to function per business requirements Advanced skills in supporting reporting tool applications (Power BI, QlikView, RapidMiner, TOAD, SAS, Anaconda, etc.) In-depth knowledge of the Azure data warehousing solution Experience with ticketing and managing support tickets Required experience with QlikView and Power BI Excellent analytical skills and ability to think creatively Knowledge of project management concepts and tools Experience facilitating meetings in support of projects Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications, and presentation skills Experience managing multiple stages of projects including initiating a business case, creating work plans, identifying risks, and managing costs Desired Skills: Experience in the utility industry Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
