ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager with a strong product engineering background and deep technical understanding to lead high-performing engineering teams. This role combines people leadership, product development, technical strategy, architecture, and execution. You should be able to engage with engineers at a technical level, partner closely with Product and Design, and make sound architectural decisions for complex, scalable systems. We are looking for an engineering leader who understands how AI is changing software development and can help teams adopt AI tooling, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI-native engineering practices. Required Skills & Experience - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant technical leadership experience. - 3+ years of engineering management or equivalent technical leadership experience. - Strong experience building and operating customer-facing products. - Strong product development background, from product discovery through launch and continuous improvement. - Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot. - Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems. - Experience with Kafka and/or messaging systems. - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases. - Experience with NoSQL/document databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Firestore. - Strong understanding of AWS or GCP. - Working knowledge of React and modern frontend development. - Experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous systems. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native development. - Strong understanding of observability, reliability, security, and production operations. - Practical understanding of AI/LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and AI agents. - Experience using or leading adoption of AI coding and engineering tools. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. - Ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels. What You’ll Do - Engineering & Technical Leadership: Lead engineering teams building scalable, reliable, customer-facing products. - AI & AI-Native Engineering: Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development and AI engineering tools across engineering teams. - Product Engineering: Own engineering delivery for customer-facing products from discovery through launch and operation. - Technical Architecture & Engineering: Strong understanding of modern full-stack, cloud-native, and distributed system architecture. - People Leadership: Build, lead, and retain high-performing engineering teams.
