- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and validation
- Good understanding of data modelling, data integration, and data management principles

Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the Research Data Warehouse initiative. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, users, and data engineering teams to gather requirements, define user journeys, and deliver high-quality data solutions that support investment research and business operations. You will also play a key role in ensuring data quality, governance, and the successful delivery of projects using Agile methodologies. Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders and users to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements. Develop user journeys, use cases, and process flows to define user interactions with data platforms and applications. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and data requirements. Collaborate with data engineers to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions aligned with business needs. Ensure solutions adhere to data management best practices while meeting business and operational requirements. Perform data analysis and validation to ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency. Develop and maintain project documentation, including data dictionaries, business requirements, user journeys, process flows, and project plans. Support data governance initiatives by promoting data quality, consistency, and compliance with organisational standards. Monitor application and data platform performance, working with engineering teams to identify and implement enhancements or resolve issues. Coordinate with project teams to ensure sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, and timely delivery of project milestones. Perform Business-as-Usual (BAU) support, including monitoring, issue investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably within the investment management, asset management, or banking industry. Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications. Strong experience creating user journeys, use cases, and business process documentation. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and validation. Good understanding of data modelling, data integration, and data management principles. Experience working with enterprise data warehouse or large-scale data platform initiatives. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
