Key Responsibilities
- Define backend, API, integration, event-driven, and service architecture patterns for PX delivery
- Guide API design, authentication, authorisation, versioning, data exchange, error handling, and integration standards
- Assess technical risks across partner integrations, compliance obligations, service levels, and operational dependencies
- Mentor engineers on backend quality, integration patterns, contract testing, performance, and production readiness
- Coordinate with Product Managers, Architects, Security, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and partner-facing teams
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable services for enterprise or partner-facing platforms
- Hands-on experience with API design, API gateways, authentication and authorisation protocols, service contracts, versioning, and integratio
- Experience designing partner onboarding journeys, developer documentation, API catalogues, sandbox environments, integration guides, and sup
- Practical knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, event-driven patterns, containerisation, CI/CD, automated testing, contract
- Experience with production readiness, observability, monitoring, incident management, reliability engineering, and service level management
- Good understanding of data exchange, data quality, integration error handling, auditability, privacy, security, compliance, metadata, data m
