Key Responsibilities
- Translate assigned IFAK 2.1 training materials from English into French
- Review and proofread translated materials for linguistic accuracy, grammar, readability and consistency
- Ensure consistent translation of first aid, trauma, emergency response and training terminology
- Ensure translated content is clear and appropriate for an international United Nations audience
- Maintain the structure and formatting of the original training materials
- Identify terminology or passages requiring clarification and consult with the UNDSS First Responders Programme team
Requirements
- Ability to translate from English to French
- Proofreading and quality assurance skills
- Knowledge of first aid, trauma, emergency response and training terminology
- Attention to linguistic accuracy, grammar, readability and consistency
- Ability to maintain document structure and formatting
- Capacity to consult with subject matter experts for terminology clarification
