About the Role We are seeking a Software Engineer to help scale our core platform and accelerate product delivery. You will build high-quality systems, influence architecture, and improve reliability and performance across our applications. What You’ll Do - Own end-to-end delivery of features (design → deployment → support) - Build scalable, maintainable systems for evolving product needs - Partner with product to clarify requirements and deliver practical solutions - Improve reliability and code quality through strong engineering practices - Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to operational excellence What We’re Looking For - 5+ years building and maintaining production-grade systems - Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity - Ability to independently define solutions and contribute to architecture - Track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments - Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, clean code, maintainability) - Experience improving system performance and reliability - Strong written/verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration - Strong code review skills and a mindset of raising engineering standards - Willingness to participate in on-call and incident response - Experience working with sensitive data and security best practices (PII) - Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and MCP servers. Nice to Have - Experience with microservices or distributed systems - Experience building data-intensive or large-scale platforms - Familiarity with healthcare, compliance, or regulated environments - Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or entity resolution systems - Experience reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring - Experience improving developer productivity through CI/CD and tooling Technologies & Tools - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Java (Java 21 preferred) with Quarkus - React / TypeScript - REST APIs and distributed systems - Docker and Kubernetes - CI/CD (GitHub Actions) - Monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Sentry) - Data platforms (Spanner, BigQuery) - Kafka - AI Tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) Benefits of Working at Certify - At Certify, we’re building with intention and taking care of the people doing the work. - Your well-being matters to us.
