The Role We are looking for an Automation Specialist to design, implement, and support enterprise automation and workload scheduling solutions within a large-scale mainframe environment. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and ensuring stable batch processing. Who You Are Key Responsibilities Administer and support automation platforms. Develop and maintain automation scripts and scheduling processes. Design automated monitoring and recovery procedures. Implement workload scheduling standards. Troubleshoot production scheduling and automation issues. Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams. Support disaster recovery and business continuity testing. Drive process optimization initiatives. Maintain automation documentation and standards. Required Experience 5-10+ years in mainframe operations or systems programming. 3-5+ years working with enterprise automation solutions. Experience supporting mission-critical production environments. Technical Skills IBM Technologies IBM System Automation (SA z/OS). IBM NetView. IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Scheduler. CA/Broadcom Technologies AutoSys. CA OPS/MVS. CA 7. CA Workload Automation products. General z/OS. JCL. TSO/ISPF. REXX. JES2/JES3.
