Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Base Operating Systems Management on Mainframe z/OS
  • Perform Configuration Management and Automation Support tasks
  • Manage Storage Management and Performance & Capacity Management functions
  • Provide DB/DC support including DB2, CICS, and IMS systems
  • Support Omegamon, MQ, and Networking operations
  • Apply advanced debugging and root cause analysis to resolve complex problems

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ISPF, JES2, JCL, REXX, SMP/E, PCOMM
  • Understanding of Parallel Sysplex and Disaster Recovery concepts
  • Experience with product upgrades and change/incident management tools
  • Advanced debugging and root cause analysis ability
  • Familiarity with Mainframe z/OS environment and enterprise workloads
  • Basic knowledge of JAVA and PYTHON as referenced in the description

The Role The Kyndryl Graduate Program & beyond Your journey as System Engineer will start with an immersive learning program, focused on building a core set of business and consulting skills which you will use working on exciting projects with our flagship clients. We will support you in kickstarting your career by offering rotation, shadowing and specialization opportunities during the 2-years program. Afterward, you'll have the chance to work in either a Delivery or Go to Market role based on your potential and skills. System Engineers at Kyndryl are responsible for configuration, maintenance and optimization of core Mainframe z/OS infrastructure that supports mission critical enterprise workloads. They ensure stability, performance, security, and high availability of the environment within various roles including Base Operating Systems Management, Configuration Management, Automation Support, Scheduling Management, Storage Management, Performance & Capacity Management, Output Services, Logical Security, Production Control, DB/DC (Database / Data Communication) support (DB2, CICS, IMS), Omegamon Support, MQ Support and Networking Support. Key skills include knowledge of ISPF, JES2, JCL, REXX, SMP/E, PCOMM, Parallel Sysplex, Disaster Recovery, product upgrades and change/incident management tools. Also important is advanced debugging and root cause ability in order to resolve complex problems.
