If you're this person, we'd love to talk to you. THE ROLE We are looking for a Mobile UI Designer to create elegant, intuitive and high-performing mobile experiences for BJAK's financial products. This role is for someone who loves designing mobile interfaces that feel effortless, responsive and visually refined. You'll work alongside engineers and product managers to create experiences used daily by millions of users. WHAT YOU'LL OWN - Design beautiful and intuitive interfaces for iOS and Android applications. - Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and production-ready UI. - Design mobile experiences across insurance, payments, claims, investments and financial services. - Build and maintain mobile design systems and reusable components. - Work closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation. - Optimize interfaces for usability, accessibility and platform guidelines. - Iterate designs using analytics, usability findings and product feedback. - Ensure consistency across different devices, screen sizes and operating systems. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2+ years of experience designing mobile applications. - Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality mobile UI work. - Expert proficiency in Figma and interactive prototyping. - Deep understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design. - Strong understanding of mobile usability, responsive layouts and interaction design. - Excellent attention to typography, spacing, colour and visual hierarchy. - Ability to simplify complex financial workflows into clean mobile experiences. - Portfolio is required. DESIGN STACK - Figma - FigJam - Design Systems - Auto Layout - Interactive Prototyping - iOS Human Interface Guidelines - Material Design THE KIND OF BUILDER WE WANT - Thinks mobile-first. - Obsesses over visual polish and interaction quality. - Notices small UI inconsistencies before users do. - Cares about accessibility, responsiveness and performance. - Collaborates closely with engineers to deliver high-quality products. - Takes pride in shipping pixel-perfect interfaces. THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR - Designers whose experience is primarily marketing or branding. - People who design without considering real user behaviour. - Designers unfamiliar with mobile platform conventions. - Individuals who struggle to collaborate with engineers. - Candidates who cannot explain the rationale behind their design decisions. LOCATION This role is based in Malaysia. This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our Malaysia office at least 3 days per week. LANGUAGE English is our primary working language across our global teams. Strong English communication skills are required. INTERVIEW PROCESS Our process is designed to move fast: 1. Portfolio review 2. Practical design task (if applicable) 3. Role-specific interview 4. CEO / Final interview For strong candidates, we aim to complete the process and make an offer within 1 week from the start of the interview process. Candidates who complete assessments promptly will be prioritized.
