Build a data pipeline for hyper-personalised mapping apps using Graphhopper
As a Geospatial Engineer at LiveMap, you'll set up a data pipeline, work with product to identify relevant datasets, connect, persist and expose that data. You'll also extend off-the-shelf routing engines like Graphhopper to account for dynamic run-time preferences and attributes such as temporal factors. The role involves building prototypes, getting them into customer testing to iterate quickly on the next generation of mapping apps.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up a data pipeline for geospatial data ingestion and processing
- Collaborate with product to identify and source relevant datasets for mapping features
- Connect, persist, and expose geospatial data through backend systems
- Extend Graphhopper routing engine to support dynamic runtime preferences and attributes
- Develop and test prototypes of hyper-personalised mapping applications
- Iterate on mapping features based on customer feedback and testing
Requirements
- Experience with data pipeline setup and ETL processes
- Proficiency in working with geospatial data and datasets
- Familiarity with routing engines such as Graphhopper
- Ability to extend and customize routing logic for dynamic attributes
- Experience in backend development and data persistence
- Prototyping and iterative development based on user feedback
