Salary: $50 - $75 per hour A bit about us: Our client is seeking a Part-Time Contract Attorney to provide legal support across the company's commercial contracting activities. This attorney will work closely with internal business teams to draft, review, revise, and negotiate agreements with clients, vendors, and other business partners. The primary focus will be on client-facing commercial agreements and vendor contracts, with responsibility for identifying contractual risks, providing practical legal guidance, and helping the business move agreements efficiently through negotiation and execution. Competitive compensation structure Fully remote work flexibility Excellent medical, dental and vision benefits fully covered for employee Part-Time to start Job Details Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar; California Bar admission strongly preferred. 5+ years of legal experience with a significant focus on commercial contracts, transactional matters, or in-house legal support. Strong experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a variety of client/customer and vendor agreements. Demonstrated experience negotiating Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), vendor/service agreements, NDAs, and other commercial contracts. Strong understanding of key commercial provisions, including indemnification, limitation of liability, confidentiality, intellectual property, data security, privacy, insurance, payment terms, warranties, termination, and dispute resolution. Ability to identify contractual and business risks and provide practical, commercially minded recommendations to internal stakeholders. Experience working directly with business, sales, operations, finance, technology, or other cross-functional teams to facilitate contract negotiations and execution. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and maintain productive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
