Are you ready to unlock intelligence? If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others. About the Role: We’re looking for a highly hands-on Web Experience Specialist to own the day-to-day creation, quality, and continuous improvement of our marketing web experiences on konghq.com http://konghq.com. This is an execution-focused role, close to the work. You’ll build and maintain content in our CMS, launch and manage A/B tests, and apply thoughtful CSS and JavaScript enhancements to ensure every page looks polished and behaves exactly as intended. You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Design, and Web Engineering to deliver high-quality experiences while helping reduce engineering lift for marketing content production. Beyond execution, you’ll improve documentation, enable others to confidently build in the CMS, and proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve web quality. Why We’re Hiring: We need a dedicated owner for marketing web content to offload execution work from the engineering team and accelerate experimentation and iteration on konghq.com http://konghq.com. What You’ll Do: CMS OWNERSHIP & PAGE CREATION - Build, publish, and maintain marketing content in Payload CMS. - Ensure pages are visually accurate, functional, and aligned with design specifications. - Maintain consistency and quality across all marketing web properties. EXPERIMENTATION & OPTIMIZATION - Set up and manage A/B tests in VWO (primarily through UI, with light customization). - Implement test variations using CSS and JavaScript where needed. - Monitor experiments and collaborate on interpreting results. FRONT-END ENHANCEMENTS - Apply custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to resolve layout, styling, or interaction issues. - Make incremental, high-quality improvements within the existing web codebase. - Contribute reusable fixes or enhancements back to shared components when appropriate. ENABLEMENT & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT - Document workflows, standards, and best practices for CMS content and experimentation. - Train and support marketing stakeholders in building and maintaining their own content. - Identify recurring inefficiencies and propose scalable improvements. - Act as a quality gatekeeper for marketing web output. Required Qualifications: - 4-6 years of experience building and managing web pages or digital experiences. - Experience working in a complex CMS (Payload CMS strongly preferred). - Hands-on experience with experimentation platforms (VWO preferred). - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Comfortable working within established codebases and making careful, incremental changes. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity. - Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Nice to Have: - Familiarity with SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization best practices. - Experience partnering directly with marketing or growth teams. - Experience working with distributed teams across time zones. - Ability to interpret experiment results and web analytics data. What Success Looks Like: - Marketing can launch pages and experiments faster with reduced engineering involvement. - CMS workflows are documented and easy for non-technical partners to follow. - Web quality, performance, and consistency improve over time. - Experiment velocity increases while maintaining strong execution standards. - This is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in the office. #LI-NS1 About Kong: Kong Inc., a leading developer of API and AI connectivity technologies, is building the infrastructure that powers the agentic era.
