✨ TL;DR — WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS The value that Scribe delivers to our customers is evolving - and how we capture that value needs to evolve alongside it. We are hiring our first monetization lead to own P&P strategy and experiment execution in our shift from a single product towards a platform. You'll own Pricing & Packaging across self-serve and enterprise and partner across product, revenue, marketing, and finance. You will define a holistic P&P strategy and work with engineering teams to instrument and operationalize experiments that move revenue, retention, and how our customers experience Scribe. This is a highly cross-functional role with direct, visible impact on the business. We're looking for someone who's done this before—who understands the scale of impact a pricing and packaging lead can have, and knows how to execute in a way that captures it. 🎯 ABOUT THE ROLE As the Pricing and Packaging Lead at Scribe, you will: - Own Pricing and Packaging strategy for all our products end-to-end across self-serve and enterprise. Work alongside PMs to redefine how we deliver value to customers - and therefore how we capture that value. Own the P&P roadmap and experimentation agenda. - Re-architect our enterprise SKU strategy - build clear value differentiation and product-led upsell mechanics across tiers, and partner with revenue teams on positioning and rollout. - Design monetization for our self-serve and free tiers, including value metrics for new product surfaces - balancing an adoption-first posture with sustainable unit economics. - Influence how every new product addition is packaged and priced and how our platform evolves to ensure that value realization remains clear for our customers - Partner across the executive team and functional leaders - product, revenue, marketing, finance, and ops - to translate P&P strategy into shipped changes that move revenue and retention. In this role, your first week might look something like this: It's week 1 and you've met with the PMs on the team to understand the roadmap for H2, which includes launching 2 new product offerings and a ton of features to the existing products and platform. Your goal would be to determine the most optimal packaging strategy, identify opportunities for pricing adjustments, and create the testing roadmap that enables us to deliver on that strategy. 🧩 WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT Must-haves: - You've done this before. You've owned pricing & packaging or monetization at a software company and know what it takes to drive impact through P&P; you have experience conducting experiments across multiple types of business segments to determine the most impactful path forward. - You geek out over this stuff. Pricing psychology, packaging strategy, value metrics, upsell mechanics - this is what you get excited about. You love seeing the impact of your work land in revenue, retention, and customer behavior. - You're strategic and analytical. You can build a POV that holds up in front of the exec team and pressure-test it in a spreadsheet. - You influence across functions. You've built credibility and driven change across revenue, marketing, product, and finance - without formal authority over any of them. - You have strong opinions, credibly held. You've earned the right to be opinionated through past work and are open to being wrong. Nice-to-haves: - PM/BizOps instincts. You come from a PM/BizOps background (or PM-adjacent) and can fill execution gaps to get the job done. - Experience monetizing new product surfaces or navigating a usage-based pricing transition. - High-autonomy environments. You've thrived in a place where the roadmap doesn't exist until you build it. If you're reading this thinking "that's me!", we want to meet you! 🚫 THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF - You want a defined roadmap on day one. In your first few months, you'll be creating your own work - identifying opportunities from customer data, competitive research, past experiments, and stakeholder conversations. - You want to stay purely in strategy or squarely in execution. You'll spend real time in the operational weeds - reviewing entitlements/data, sitting with sales teams on positioning, iterating with PMs, etc. 🌟 ABOUT US Scribe https://scribehow.com/ is where exceptional people come to do the best work of their careers.
