Software Engineer - PlanetScale Postgres
Build tier-zero Postgres databases for massive, fast-growing datasets
As a Software Engineer at PlanetScale, you will build the best Postgres product on the planet by developing tier-zero databases capable of handling some of the biggest and fastest-growing data sets. You'll work with high autonomy alongside talented engineers to enhance Postgres extensions and core database performance. The role focuses on creating scalable, reliable infrastructure for global customers across AMER, LATAM, and EMEA regions.

- Develop and optimize Postgres extensions for performance and reliability
- Build scalable database infrastructure for large-scale customer workloads

- Contribute to the development of PlanetScale's Postgres-based platform
Requirements
- Strong background in database systems and Postgres internals
- Experience building scalable, high-performance infrastructure
- Proficiency in systems programming and performance optimization
- Ability to work independently with high autonomy
- Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
