Senior Software Engineer, iOS
Develop and maintain iOS features for Wikipedia mobile apps
The Senior Software Engineer will develop and maintain iOS features for Wikipedia mobile applications as part of the App Growth team within Core Experiences. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve user engagement and app performance. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable iOS code that supports the Wikimedia Foundation's mission of free knowledge access.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain iOS features for Wikipedia mobile applications
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to define and implement new functionality
- Write clean, testable, and efficient Swift code following best practices

- Debug and resolve complex issues affecting app performance and stability
- Contribute to technical documentation and engineering processes
Requirements
- Proficiency in Swift and iOS SDK
- Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
- Strong understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, VIPER)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON parsing
- Familiarity with Git and agile development methodologies
- Ability to write unit and UI tests for iOS applications
