Senior QA Engineer

About the role We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help ensure the reliability, stability, and quality of our products. You will work across product teams, focusing on test strategy, test automation, manual validation, and risk-based testing . The role is responsible for helping teams define the right testing approach for new features, critical changes, bug fixes, and releases. Our ideal candidate is passionate about quality, proactive, accurate, and detail-oriented . You should be comfortable working with automation frameworks, defining test coverage, performing hands-on testing, and helping teams improve the integration of quality into the development process. Responsibilities Define test strategies, test plans, and appropriate test coverage for new features, critical changes, and releases, using a risk-based approach to decide what should be tested manually, through automation, API tests, integration tests, or end-to-end tests Design, implement, and maintain automated UI, API, integration, and end-to-end tests using Playwright preferred , Cypress, or similar tools Perform manual and exploratory testing for high-risk features, complex user flows, critical bug fixes, and release validation Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to identify risks, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and testability concerns early Support engineers in using test frameworks and automation practices , helping teams improve test coverage over time Analyze test results, investigate failures, report defects, and support root cause analysis Improve automation coverage and reliability to reduce repeated manual regression work where practical Support CI/CD quality gates by helping integrate automated tests into the delivery workflow where valuable Advocate for quality standards and continuous improvement across teams Requirements 4+ years of experience in QA, quality engineering, software testing, or test automation Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with test automation tools Experience with automation tools such as Playwright preferred , Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks Experience designing and maintaining UI, API, integration, or end-to-end automated tests Experience in API testing and automation , for example, Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or similar Strong understanding of test strategy, test planning, test design, and risk-based testing Ability to write clear, structured test cases and translate product requirements into effective test coverage Understanding of functional and non-functional testing , including reliability, performance, security, or accessibility considerations Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Git, and pull request-based development workflows Ability to debug test failures, analyze logs, investigate issues, and collaborate with engineers on technical problems Nice to Have Experience with performance, reliability, security, accessibility, or visual testing Experience with quality metrics, dashboards, test reporting, or release quality tracking Experience with SQL, database validation, or test data setup Exposure to AI-assisted QA or test automation tools Experience evaluating or introducing new testing tools, frameworks, or automation practices Working with Manatal: This role is based at our Bangkok office in the heart of the city center As a team of diverse cultures and nationalities, English language proficiency is required We enjoy collaborating in person, and the team is working on-site Why you'll enjoy working with Manatal: Well-funded start-up backed by Surge & Sequoia Be part of one of the fastest-growing B2B SaaS start-ups in the region You will be collaborating with talented individuals in the industry Join a lively and highly international team Indulge in a challenging and innovative working culture Attractive medical healthcare plan Personal development allowance 2 weeks of work from anywhere per year Regular fun team-building activities Company trip Apply on our Careers Page: If you are a fit for this role and are excited to join Manatal, please follow this link to apply: Get to know more about us and our product: www.manatal.com Watch Manatal's product demo : https://manatal.wistia.com/medias/vobnq7lvm1 Manatal Hiring At Manatal, we are dedicated to building an intuitive AI-powered application tracking system to streamline and transform the entire hiring and recruitment process.
