There is no organization in the world that understands voice better than Deepgram. COMPANY OPERATING RHYTHM At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance. Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do. Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5. OVERVIEW Deepgram's next phase of growth is upmarket. Our customers have increasing compliance needs and are security-conscious buyers with sophisticated procurement orgs. This role owns that problem space: making Deepgram enterprise-ready and removing the product blockers that stall upmarket deals. Enterprise buyers don't evaluate readiness as a feature. They evaluate it as a package — identity, security, compliance, and the experience their teams touch — and the absence of any one piece stalls a deal in security review. You own the outcome and ship the fix wherever it belongs: in Console, in our APIs, or in the managed endpoint, partnering with the PMs who own those surfaces. Today that means enterprise SSO, FedRAMP/FIPS readiness, SBOM and security-artifact self-serve, and a user experience that signals maturity. The specifics will shift as we move upmarket; the mandate won't. This is high-leverage work with real autonomy. You set enterprise product strategy for a Series C company's core upmarket motion while owning a pillar of the business's strategy, with an explicit path to Staff as your scope grows. What You'll Do - Own the enterprise adoption problem space end to end: the procurement, security, compliance, and UX storylines that have to work together to win upmarket deals. - Set strategy, sequencing across enterprise initiatives which today includes SSO, compliance readiness, and our Console UX, and defend that prioritization with data. - Ship solutions on whatever surface fits the problem: Console, APIs, or the managed endpoint. You own the problem and partner with the PMs who own those surfaces rather than owning the surfaces outright. - Drive enterprise security and compliance readiness so procurement teams can self-serve e.g., SBOM generation and security-artifact access, instead of waiting on us. - Remove the product blockers that stall deals in security review and slow closure. - Work directly with engineers, designers, and sales to ship features. Pull people in when you need to; don't wait for consensus. - Set your own objectives and make the trade-offs, with minimal steering. YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF YOU - Want to own a pillar of company strategy rather than take tickets, and want the autonomy to set direction. - Get genuinely excited by enterprise complexity at scale such as turning identity, provisioning, RBAC, and audit into a package a security team will actually approve. - Care how a product feels, not just whether it works. - Can take a goal like "frictionless enterprise procurement" and derive a 12-week plan without asking "what should I do first?" - Are comfortable when requirements are imperfect and priorities shift. - Work AI-first by default and want to be on a team that does the same. IT'S IMPORTANT TO US THAT YOU HAVE - Enterprise product experience: you've shipped products into regulated or security-conscious customers and understand their procurement psychology. - Front-end/UX product sensibility: you bring the same rigor to how a product feels that enterprise teams bring to infrastructure. - Strong opinions backed by facts: you can defend your prioritization call with customer data, competitive positioning, and technical reality, and you update when new facts arrive. - An AI-native working style: AI is already part of how you research, analyze, prototype, and decide. This is about using AI to accelerate your own work, not outsourcing your judgment to an LLM. Expect us to probe it directly, including live. - Autonomous decision making and comfort with ambiguity: you thrive with objectives and minimal directional guidance. - Cross-functional range: you work fluently with engineers, designers, and sales. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD - A Computer Science / Software Engineering background: you understand how software works, why implementation has tradeoffs, and what Engineering needs to build a product. - Security or compliance shipping experience: FIPS, FedRAMP, SOC 2, or similar enterprise features. - Web console or platform-tooling experience: you know how to design experiences for technical audiences. - B2B or enterprise sales-cycle familiarity: you know what procurement orgs care about and why.
