Senior Platform Engineer
Improve system reliability and scalability through observability and automation
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Manatal, you will focus on improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems. You will enhance observability via metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting, automate manual operations tasks, and collaborate with engineering teams to design resilient systems. You will also build custom tools to improve developer experience and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate production systems to ensure high availability and reliability
- Improve observability through better metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
- Automate manual and repetitive operations tasks to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design resilient, scalable systems
- Build custom tools and automate infrastructure to improve developer experience
- Participate in on-call rotations, handle incident response, and conduct post-incident reviews
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS or other major cloud providers (GCP, Azure)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
- Solid Linux systems knowledge
- Programming skills in Golang, Python, Bash, or similar
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools: ArgoCD, Crossplane, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, Datadog
