As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Xero, you will design, build, and operate front-end experiences for xero.com and connected signup journeys. The role / impact As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will help design, build, and operate the front-end experiences sitting at Xero's digital front door. Primarily focusing on xero.com http://xero.com and connected signup journeys, you will deliver customer-facing improvements that elevate acquisition outcomes while maintaining the performance and reliability of a high-traffic public platform. You will bring technical depth to the pod, shaping implementation quality and driving front-end craft forward. Balancing experimentation speed with platform health, you will own complex initiatives end to end, mentor fellow engineers, and help simplify solutions across both front-end and back-end environments. The team / how they connect The Acquisition pod is a cross-functional group of engineers, product managers, designers, and growth specialists working across Australia and North America. We collaborate closely to deliver seamless digital customer experiences while maintaining high engineering standards, respectful challenge, and space for different working styles. Initially, you will focus on - Building and refining reusable components within modern web architectures using React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js. - Enhancing site performance, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility across high-converting user flows. - Partnering with product, design, and search engine optimisation specialists to deploy rapid A/B experiments and funnel optimisations. - Collaborating with platform and customer-technology teams to integrate downstream services, forms, and content management systems. Where and how you can work This position is ideally based in Melbourne with flexible working options available but we are open to Brisbane and Sydney too. While there are no fixed office attendance mandates, team members often connect in person weekly at our offices to collaborate. We support flexible arrangements so you can balance team connection with your personal working style.
