POWER PACK SUPERINTENDENT

Perform preventive maintenance on genset systems including oil changes and filter replacements

Execute preventive maintenance on powerpack systems including oil changes, filter replacements, battery checks, and cooling system inspections. Conduct corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on diesel gensets, alternators, and electrical panels using multimeters and diagnostic tools. Document work orders, checklists, and equipment condition reports while providing feedback to the superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, battery checks, and cooling system inspections
Conduct inspections for vibration, temperature, and abnormal noise on genset and utility systems
Execute corrective maintenance on diesel genset engines, alternators, and electrical panels including component replacement
Troubleshoot issues like failure to start, overheating, low power output, and trips/shutdowns using multimeters and diagnostic tools
Document work completed via work orders, PM checklists, and damage reports while providing equipment condition feedback

Requirements

D3 diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2–5 years of experience as a genset/utility technician
Technical competency in diesel engine systems including fuel, cooling, and lubrication
Proficiency in basic electrical work such as voltage/current measurement, wiring, and panel control
Experience in troubleshooting by analyzing symptoms and root causes
Skilled in handling tools including multimeters, hand tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
