Own AWS infrastructure for Placekey production API at scale

Own day-to-day AWS operations for Placekey, a production API at scale, and support Senzing's core ops. Harden the new environment post-migration and contribute to ongoing modernization efforts. Work with EKS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, Cloudflare, API gateway, Terraform, and monitoring tools while supporting Scala and Rust applications.

Key Responsibilities

Own day-to-day AWS infrastructure operations for Placekey production API
Harden and secure the newly migrated AWS environment
Support Senzing's core platform operations and reliability
Contribute to infrastructure modernization efforts using Terraform and EKS
Manage and tune Aurora PostgreSQL including backup and recovery
Collaborate on networking, API gateway (Kong/AWS), and observability with Grafana/CloudWatch/Datadog

Requirements

5+ years of platform/cloud infrastructure experience
Production Kubernetes experience, EKS ideal
Managed Postgres expertise including backup, recovery, and tuning
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) proficiency
Strong networking fundamentals
Solid Python and Bash scripting skills

We're hiring a platform engineer to own AWS infrastructure for Placekey (our location-data subsidiary, production API at scale) and support Senzing's core ops. This isn't a keep-the-lights-on role. We just completed an infra migration and are actively modernizing. You'd own day-to-day operations, harden the new environment, and have real input on where it goes. Stack: EKS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, Cloudflare, API gateway (Kong/AWS), Terraform, Grafana/CloudWatch/Datadog. Apps are Scala and Rust. Looking for: 5+ years platform/cloud infra, production Kubernetes (EKS ideal), managed Postgres (backup/recovery/tuning), IaC, solid networking, strong Python/Bash. Remote anywhere in the USA.
