LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the voice-driven era of computing. The platform enables developers to build, test, deploy, scale, and observe AI agents in production using WebRTC and real-time communication technologies. Multiple engineering roles are available to contribute to this full-stack real-time platform.

Why This Role?

Work directly with co-founders Russ d'Sa and David Zhao on foundational voice AI infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

Build and scale real-time communication infrastructure using WebRTC
Develop tools for testing and deploying AI agents in production
Create observability systems for voice-driven applications
Implement platform features for developer success and integration
Design secure systems for voice and data transmission
Optimize performance for low-latency global agent interactions

Requirements

Experience with WebRTC or real-time communication protocols
Proficiency in building scalable backend systems
Knowledge of AI/ML integration in production environments
Strong programming skills in languages like Go, Python, or TypeScript
Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
Background in developer tools or platform engineering
