Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze accidents, incidents, and non-conformities with DPA and GM
  • Implement corrective actions and close NCS from audits, investigations, and PSC detentions
  • Provide navigational, stability, and loading advice to vessel masters as needed
  • Prepare and distribute safety manuals, instructions, and posters for crew training
  • Conduct pre-charter and pre-third-party inspections to ensure compliance
  • Train, coach, and assess team members to achieve high performance and competency

Requirements

  • Experience in vessel operational safety, navigation, and cargo loading
  • Knowledge of MARPOL, LSA, FFA, and maritime safety regulations
  • Ability to conduct accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Experience in emergency response and audit preparation (internal, external, PSC)
  • Skills in developing safety documentation and conducting crew training
  • Familiarity with 5S and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices

Position Overview: This position will be responsible for the operational safety of the vessel in the fields of navigation, loading on board and the prevention of environmental pollution. Responsibilities : To be in the team of all accident /incident /NC investigations. Proper analysis of accidents & incidents and discuss with DPA and GM for Corrective action & implementation. Emergency Response Team Member Effective closing of NCS raised after accidents , investigations, damage , internal audits ,external audits and PSC findings/detentions Training and creating awareness on safety on board. Providing navigational and operational information and support to Masters Providing advise/information on stability and critical loading when needed by vessel Prepare manuals , instructions and posters and train/socializing crew whenever there is a new regulations or amendments to existing regulations/standards. Review masters review/minutes of safety committee meetings along with DPA. Providing advise/information needed by vessel on LSA,FFA and Marpol Do the pre inspection before charter out or before inspection 3rd party. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time Providing training, coaching, and assessing the team in accordance with established HR procedures, to achieve high performance and competency. Evaluating work processes, 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain), and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in the department's work processes. Requirements : Specific Education (ATT/ ANT), Minimum ANT II Minimum 2 years sailing as Chief Officer on board Minimum 1 year experience as Marine Superintendent Willing to work on shore Placement in Head Office, Surabaya
