Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and system implementation
  • Experience with Java or web/internet technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

Overview The Technical Business Analyst is part of the Business Analysis unit within the Information Management (Application) team, reporting to the Head of Section. This role acts as a key bridge between end-users, solution teams, and vendors, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and solutions are delivered effectively. Key Responsibilities Requirements & Analysis Gather and document user requirements and translate them into functional specifications Perform process modelling and feasibility studies Investigate user-reported issues and define scope of analysis Testing & Delivery Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and execute system/integration testing Manage and monitor User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure quality and timelines Support end-to-end delivery of projects and system enhancements Project & Stakeholder Management Plan and manage project/enhancement timelines Coordinate with vendors and internal solution teams to ensure smooth delivery Escalate issues and risks to relevant stakeholders when required Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement Analyse system/process issues and identify root causes Work with technical teams to produce issue analysis reports and recommend solutions Support data extraction and analysis to troubleshoot problems Communication Engage with business users to gather requirements and provide updates Communicate system-related information, policies, and processes within the team Maintain effective relationships across stakeholders at all levels Knowledge & Domain Apply business and system knowledge across applications Domain knowledge in areas such as Insurance, Claims, Processing, or Finance is preferred Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in Insurance domain) Strong understanding of SDLC and system implementation Experience with Java or web/internet technologies is an advantage Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Work Environment Part of the Information Management department, supporting enterprise systems, applications, and IT infrastructure Requires proactive communication, willingness to learn new technologies, and collaboration across teams
