GTM Business Systems Engineer, Post Sales

Design and deploy Salesforce applications for post-sales revenue workflows

Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform to support post-sales processes. Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce, internal revenue apps, data systems, and adjacent business systems using iPaaS tools like Workato and Clay. Own data contracts, ensure data integrity, and drive architectural decisions for scalable revenue workflows in partnership with Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, and GTM teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a Senior Business Systems Engineer to own and evolve Ramp’s Post Sales systems. You’ll build the products that fuel our onboarding and activation funnel, turn complex commercial agreements into accurate, supportable customer outcomes from original deal closure through expansions, and book of business management This role sits in Growth Engineering’s Business Systems Engineering team and partners closely with Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, Data, Product, and GTM teams. You’ll combine hands-on Salesforce engineering with systems design and strong commercial judgment to make high-stakes revenue workflows reliable, scalable, and easier for teams to use.   WHAT YOU’LL DO - Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform - Design and operate reliable integrations between Salesforce, our internal revenue app, Data, and adjacent business systems. Own data contracts, idempotency, error handling, reconciliation, and safe lifecycle changes for quotes, contracts, and subscriptions. - Design, develop, and maintain solutions on iPaaS (Homegrown, Workato, Clay, etc) - Drive decisions on architecture patterns, tool usage, and designs required for the solution to scale both in terms of speed and scale. - Write and communicate technical specifications, including architecture diagrams, data model diagrams, process flows, and sequence diagrams. - Own the data integrity and data assumptions in your focused area and contribute continually. - Work closely with the rest of the team on code reviews, on-call, build issues, and ideation. WHAT YOU’LL NEED - 7+ years working with the Salesforce platform - 5+ years of experience with Systems Architecture and Integrations - Strong experience with Apex and triggers. - Working knowledge and experience on other programming languages like Python. - Strong knowledge of developing Lightning Web Components - Strong experience of APIs and integrations with Salesforce - Strong knowledge and working experience of synchronous/asynchronous methods, streaming API, and publish/subscribe design patterns and architectural patterns. - Familiarity with broader GTM stack beyond Salesforce ( Gong, Leandata, CPQ, Billing Systems) - Strong and working knowledge of data pipelines. - Solid understanding or implementation knowledge of CI/CD processes. - Understanding Salesforce governance limits and code coverage. - Follow unit-testing best practices and be capable of coding for positive/negative scenarios. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and evaluating their output. - Deep experience building and maintaining Salesforce applications with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and asynchronous processing. - Experience with CPQ, pricing, contract lifecycle management, billing, subscriptions, or another Quote-to-Cash domain. - Strong API and integration-design skills, including reliable handling of retries, duplicate events, partial failures, and data reconciliation. - Ability to translate complex commercial requirements into simple, durable system behavior in partnership with non-engineering teams.
