G13 - UX Designer

Own and evolve a design system for consistent, accessible UI components

Own and evolve the design system, including components, patterns, foundations, and interaction guidelines. Design, document, and maintain reusable UI components and interaction patterns that are accessible and aligned with user and business needs. Establish governance processes, collaborate with engineering on implementation, and support adoption across product teams through documentation and advocacy.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design
  • Hands-on experience creating or maintaining a design system or large-scale component library
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills with attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and inclusive design principles
  • Experience working closely with engineers in a product development environment
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma), including component libraries and design tokens

This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys systems thinking, cares deeply about craft and consistency, and is comfortable balancing long-term foundations with short-term product needs. Key Responsibilities Design System Ownership Own and evolve design system, including components, patterns, foundations (colour, typography, spacing, tokens), and interaction guidelines. Define and maintain standards to ensure consistency and usability across all products and modules. Act as the final design authority for system-level decisions and changes. Component & Pattern Design Design, document, and maintain reusable UI components and interaction patterns. Anticipate product needs and proactively build scalable components to support future use cases. Ensure components are accessible, usable, and aligned with user and business needs. Governance & Quality Establish clear contribution, review, and release processes for the design system. Review contributions from other designers and ensure adherence to system standards. Balance flexibility and consistency, knowing when to extend the system versus when to customise. Collaboration with Engineering Work closely with engineers to ensure design system components are technically feasible, well-implemented, and maintainable. Partner with frontend engineers on component APIs, states, and edge cases. Support alignment between design components and their coded counterparts. Enablement & Adoption Support product designers in using the design system effectively in their day-to-day work. Create clear documentation, guidelines, and examples to drive adoption. Advocate for the design system across teams and help embed it into product workflows. Continuous Improvement Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing product designs and the design system. Iterate on the system based on product learnings, user feedback, and team input. Stay up to date with best practices in design systems, accessibility, and UX. Requirements Must Have 3–6+ years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design. Hands-on experience creating or maintaining a design system or large-scale component library.
