Full-Stack CV/ML Systems Engineer

Build end-to-end real-time drone detection systems on NVIDIA edge devices

You will own deployed vision systems end to end, from data collection and model training to real-time video processing and multi-object tracking on NVIDIA Jetson devices. This includes diagnosing and fixing real-world failures in live video feeds, developing backend infrastructure and APIs, and creating operator-facing dashboards. The role spans the full pipeline for airborne drone detection using multispectral sensing and edge inference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy computer vision models on NVIDIA Jetson using TensorRT and DeepStream
  • Process real-time video streams for multi-object tracking and drone detection
  • Collect, curate, and manage datasets for model training and evaluation
  • Build and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and operator-facing dashboards
  • Diagnose and fix failures in live deployed vision systems
  • Control camera and gimbal systems as part of integrated sensing pipelines

Requirements

  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience with PyTorch for model training and evaluation
  • Proficiency with TensorRT, ONNX, or DeepStream/GStreamer for edge inference
  • Background in embedded Linux and real-time video processing pipelines
  • Frontend development experience for operator tooling and dashboards
  • Applied computer vision and perception expertise, including tracking and real-time systems

Laminar Engineering | Full-Stack CV/ML Systems Engineer | Contract | REMOTE Laminar Engineering builds real-time computer vision systems for airborne detection and tracking of drones, combining multispectral sensing and edge inference. We’re delivering this for a client, and we’re looking for a versatile engineer to join the R&D effort. This is a role for someone who thrives with autonomy when given a clear end state. More details to be shared with the right candidates. The role spans the whole pipeline, from data to deployed system: CV/ML on NVIDIA edge devices (Jetson / TensorRT / DeepStream), real-time video processing and multi-object tracking, camera/gimbal control, dataset collection and curation, model training and evaluation, backend infrastructure and APIs, and operator-facing dashboards. You’d own deployed vision systems end to end, including diagnosing and fixing real-world failures in live video. Strong fit: applied CV and perception, including tracking, real-time pipelines, and NVIDIA edge deployment, plus strong Python and comfort across the stack. Relevant experience: PyTorch, TensorRT/ONNX, DeepStream/GStreamer, embedded Linux, and frontend work for operator tooling. Remote contract, flexible hours, some overlap with UTC-05 preferred.
