Any outreach claiming to be from Fingerprint via other sources should be ignored._ * * * ## Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering #### The Role in Context Fingerprint is scaling rapidly, and our infrastructure is the bedrock of our 25B+ annual request volume. We are looking for a **Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering** to lead a team of 6 elite engineers. In this role, you aren’t just keeping the lights on—you are the architect of our scalability, the guardian of our hosting efficiency, and the primary bridge between Engineering and Finance. You will have high autonomy to define what "best-in-class" infrastructure looks like for a high-growth SaaS leader. * * * #### Your Mission - **Lead & Elevate:** Direct a team of 6 Cloud Engineers. You will foster a culture of high ownership, technical excellence, and "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) first. - **Scale the Platform:** Oversee the evolution of our **AWS EKS** clusters, ensuring they remain resilient, performant, and secure under massive load. - **Strategic FinOps:** Partner directly with the Finance team to manage hosting costs. You will be responsible for cost-visibility, and driving a "cost-conscious" engineering culture. - **Establish the Standard:** Define and enforce infrastructure best practices (security, CI/CD, observability) across the entire engineering organization. * * * #### What You’ll Do - **Operational Excellence:** Manage and improve our modern DevOps stack, including **ArgoCD** for GitOps, **GitHub Actions** for CI/CD, and **Cloudflare** for edge protection. - **Architecture & Governance:** Act as the primary technical advisor for cloud architecture. Ensure that as product teams build new features, the underlying infrastructure is scalable by default. - **Autonomy & Influence:** Operate with minimal guidance to identify bottlenecks, propose architectural shifts, and lead their execution. - **Stakeholder Partnership:** Be the "visible lead" for infrastructure. Distill complex technical tradeoffs into business-ready decisions for Finance and Product leadership. * * * #### Qualifications **Required:** - **Leadership Experience:** 5+ years managing engineering teams in a cloud-native environment, with a total of 10+ years in technology. - **AWS Mastery:** Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem, specifically **EKS (Kubernetes)**, IAM, VPC, and RDS. - **Modern DevOps Stack:** Expert-level knowledge of GitOps workflows ( **ArgoCD**), CI/CD pipelines ( **GitHub Actions**), and Infrastructure as Code ( **Terraform**). - **FinOps & Cost Management:** Proven track record of managing seven-figure cloud budgets and implementing successful cost-reduction strategies. - **Autonomy:** Demonstrated ability to l
