Cybersecurity Operations Centre (Jakarta)

Monitor real-time security events to detect and contain cyber threats

As a SOC Officer at Meratus Group, you will monitor real-time event telemetry from SIEM, EDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud environments. You will investigate alerts, perform root-cause analysis, and initiate incident response playbooks for containment and recovery. You will also conduct threat hunting, analyze IOCs, and create detection rules and automated SOAR playbooks to strengthen defenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage security events from SIEM, EDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud platforms
  • Investigate cybersecurity alerts and conduct root-cause analysis using established playbooks
  • Perform threat hunting by analyzing indicators of compromise and integrating threat intelligence
  • Create, maintain, and test detection rules and automated SOAR response playbooks
  • Prepare incident reports and participate in cyber simulation drills and forensics exercises

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience configuring and analyzing EDR solutions and firewall rule behaviors
  • Solid understanding of network security concepts and protocols

Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented SOC Officer to defend our digital perimeter. You will monitor real-time event telemetry, perform threat hunting, and investigate anomalous behaviors to contain and neutralize potential cybersecurity threats before they impact operations. Responsibilities : Security Monitoring: Perform continuous monitoring and triage of security events and alerts generated by SIEM, EDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud security environments. Incident Investigation & Triage: Investigate suspected cybersecurity alerts, conduct root-cause analysis, and initiate incident response playbooks for containment, eradication, and recovery. Threat Hunting & Intelligence: Actively hunt for hidden adversaries, analyze indicators of compromise (IOCs), and integrate real-time threat intelligence feeds into detection systems. Detection Engineering: Create, maintain, and test security monitoring use cases, detection rules, and automated SOAR response playbooks. Reporting & Drills: Prepare detailed incident reports, compile operational security metrics for dashboards, and actively participate in cyber simulation drills and forensics. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. 3+ years of experience working within an enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC). Hands-on experience configuring and analyzing SIEM logs (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, etc.), EDR solutions, and firewall rule behaviors. Solid understanding of network protocols, operating system forensics (Windows/Linux), and the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and script writing skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
