Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop new advertising partnerships across web, mobile, audio, newsletters, and social media
- Manage the end-to-end sales process for new ad partners from initial contact to closing
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing advertising partners to drive renewals
- Collaborate with client direct and agency relationships to grow ad revenue
- Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns across all platforms
Requirements
- Proven experience in advertising sales or brand partnerships
- Strong track record of driving revenue through new business development
- Experience managing full sales cycles for digital advertising
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client and agency relationships
- Familiarity with sports media audiences and multi-platform advertising

You will be a key member of our growing Brand Partnerships sales team responsible for driving ad revenue via client direct and agency relationships. In this role you will own the end to end sales process for new sourcing, developing, and partnering with new ad partners who want to get their brand in front of The Athletic’s audience across all platforms including web, mobile, audio, newsletters, and social media. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing ad partners in order to drive renewals and support ongoing business.
