OT Network Engineer
Design and maintain secure OT network infrastructure for power operations
As an OT Network Engineer at AES US, you will design, implement, and maintain operational technology network infrastructure supporting power generation and distribution systems. Your work ensures secure, reliable communication between OT devices and control systems across AES’s global power operations. You will collaborate with engineering and IT teams to uphold network performance and cybersecurity standards in critical energy infrastructure.

- Design OT network architecture for power generation and distribution facilities
- Implement and configure network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls in OT environments

- Collaborate with OT and IT teams to integrate network solutions with control systems
- Document network configurations and maintain audit trails for regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Experience with OT/ICS network protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, or IEC 61850
- Knowledge of network security principles including firewalls, VLANs, and access control
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Understanding of power system operations and SCADA environments
- Experience with network design and implementation in industrial settings
- Familiarity with NERC CIP or similar cybersecurity standards for critical infrastructure
