Build BigQuery SQL pipelines to enrich global IP data with location context
Work on the Places product to add detailed location context to IP addresses worldwide. Design and maintain complex BigQuery SQL pipelines to process and clean diverse, messy datasets. The role emphasizes simple, readable code and an experimental, iterative approach to building new data products. Geospatial skills are a plus but not required.

Our API handles over 120 billion requests per month, and we also license our data for use in many products and services you’ve likely interacted with. We are looking for a Data Engineer to work on our Places product ( https://ipinfo.io/data/places ), adding detailed location context to IPs from around the world. This work involves complex BigQuery SQL pipelines to process and clean diverse and messy source datasets. We value simple, readable code and look for subtractive solutions over bloat. We are building something completely new, so the work is very empirical we approach it with an experimental, iterative mindset. Geospatial skills/background is a plus.
