Business Development Lead APAC
Develop carbon project partnerships across APAC to scale nature restoration
As a Business Development Lead APAC, you will develop and manage partnerships with corporate buyers, governments, landowners, and communities to create carbon removal projects. Your work will focus on scaling nature restoration across the Asia-Pacific region by combining ecological expertise with science and technology. You will help deliver certified carbon removal and measurable outcomes for climate, biodiversity, and people.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential corporate buyers and government partners in APAC for carbon projects
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners and local communities to develop restoration initiatives
- Collaborate with internal science and technology teams to design credible carbon removal projects
- Support project development from initial contact through to certification and monitoring
- Report on partnership progress and carbon removal outcomes to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within environmental, sustainability, or carbon markets
- Understanding of carbon project development, certification standards (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard), or nature-based solutions
- Ability to work across cultures and geographies in the APAC region
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with ecological restoration or land use projects is an advantage
