We're building a brand from scratch and need a designer to define it - mark, system, packaging concept, and the visual language it will grow from. Our product is large-format filled chocolate peanut butter cups using locally sourced Virginia ingredients. Virginia peanuts, sorghum molasses, local sea salt and eventually - seasonal fruit fillings. $8–10 for a 2-cup package. Plant-based, four real ingredients, eco-conscious. We plan to launch at a local Farmers Market and are building toward specialty retail, regional gifting, and wholesale - including natural grocers and online platforms like Thrive Market. General visual direction: earned and grounded, closer to a USGS field map than a farmers market chalkboard. Not brown, not rustic, not craft fair The full creative brief is available upon request/engagement. The project is current structured as 4 milestones: Milestone 1 — Logo Directions + Preliminary Direction Document · 2–3 distinct logo directions shown on rough packaging mockups — not white backgrounds. Visuals only. Preliminary direction document: color palette direction, typography shortlist, initial mark thinking. Client selects one direction to develop. Milestone 2 — Full Brand Identity System + Print-Ready Files · Logo suite (AI, EPS, SVG, PNG - primary, one-color dark, one-color reversed, icon if applicable). Packaging concept - format open, eco/reusable, worth keeping, accommodates both cup sizes (approx. 6" and 8" wide for 2-cup format). Branded paper carry bag with print-ready files. Flavor differentiation system for minimum three SKUs - designer proposes approach. All required state food label copy incorporated. Print-ready files for packaging and carry bag (dieline, CMYK, digital mockup). Brand one-pager - hex/CMYK codes, typefaces, logo usage rules, clear space specs, packaging material specs, branded social standards. All files transfer to Culpeper Cups on payment. Milestones 3 and 4 may be reassigned to a second executor at client's discretion. Milestone 3 — Social Assets · Instagram profile image. Facebook banner (820×312px). Pinterest profile image and pin template. Square Email header. All executed from brand one-pager. Begins after Milestone 2 approval only. May be reassigned to second executor. Milestone 4 — Website Live · One-page Square Online site at — brand story, product overview, market dates, contact and inquiry form. Mobile-responsive. Basic SEO setup. Branded Square Email header. Full credential and asset handoff with editing instructions. Begins after Milestone 3 approval. All work product transfers to Culpeper Cups on payment of each milestone, regardless of whether the engagement continues. Client will provide feedback within 24 hours of each delivery. Please include 2–3 portfolio examples of food, provisions, or regional brand work.
