They power use cases such as webhook receivers, AI inferences, OG image generation and real-time bots (Slack, Discord, etc). Built on top of Supabase Edge Runtime : an open-source, Deno-based runtime written in Rust that runs JavaScript, TypeScript, and WASM services. We want developers to be able to build truly global applications by distributing both compute and data globally. Infrastructure concerns like regions, cold starts, CPU and memory provisioning should fade into the background so developers can focus on iterating on business logic.
