Probation period
In short
A probation period is a trial phase at the start of a job — commonly three months — during which either side can end the employment more easily while they confirm it is a good fit.
During probation, notice periods are usually shorter and some benefits may not apply yet. Under Indonesian labor law, probation applies only to permanent (PKWTT) contracts and is capped at three months; it is not allowed for fixed-term (PKWT) contracts. Confirm your status and what converting to permanent requires.
