Data Engineer Consultant

We are looking for a Data Engineer Consultant to be part of our team. Key responsibilities Team Enablement: Directly supports and empowers Domain & decentralized development teams, acting as a technical guide and gathering feedback to continuously improve platform utility. Core Expertise: Leverages strong expertise in Databricks and SQL to guarantee data quality and provide reliable data for analysis and business processes. Empower Teams: Act as a primary consultant, guiding teams on data engineering best practices and effective platform use, fostering a data-driven culture. Master Modern Data Engineering Stack: Build and orchestrate robust data pipelines, ensuring data reliability, accessibility, and readiness for analytics and ML. DevOps and Data Automation: Leverage CI/CD expertise to create efficient, automated, and scalable data workflows for development teams. Ensure Data Quality: Monitor and guarantee data quality, making it transparent across the organization. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders and other IT teams, actively contributing to our data community. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Proactively evaluate and improve existing solutions by introducing innovative ideas, modern technologies, and best practices to increase platform efficiency, scalability, and value. Experience: at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, data platforms, or a comparable technical role . Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field. DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git/VCS ; Databricks Asset Bundles is a plus. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Databricks and data modeling/engineering; experience with lakehouse/data platform architecture, Python, Spark, and SQL . Data Engineering: Proficiency in data pipelining, orchestration, and cluster management ; dbt experience is a bonus. Communication: Excellent English communication skills required; German language skills are a significant advantage.
