Key Responsibilities

  • Manage external partner operations for daily and catastrophe claims, ensuring speed, quality, and SLA adherence

Requirements

  • 5+ years of property claims experience with a focus on systems design or process engineering
  • Proven track record of managing TPA and vendor operations while driving continuous improvement

  • Hands-on fluency with LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT

We're looking for a Senior Manager of Property Claims Innovation & Scale to help us fundamentally rethink how property claims get handled — and build the systems that make touchless claims a reality. You'll sit within our Property Claims organization, holding a dual mandate: keeping our external partner operations running with precision today, while designing the automated workflows that reduce our dependence on manual processes tomorrow. This isn't a role for someone who manages the status quo. It's for someone who's actively replacing it. IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL - Manage day-to-day performance with our key external partners across both daily and catastrophe claims, holding them to rigorous standards of speed, quality, and SLA adherence - Continuously map external and internal claims workflows to find the best opportunities for AI integration, systemic efficiency, and process internalization - Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to embed proprietary AI tools into the claims lifecycle — proactively building proofs of concept using available LLM tools to bring a working vision to the table, not just a requirements doc - Build executive-ready business cases that shift spend from traditional vendor management toward scalable, automated solutions — with a clear focus on driving down Loss Adjustment Expense - Surface operational insights with Analytics, using large, imperfect datasets to make bold, structural changes to how our claims ecosystem runs WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 5+ years of deep property claims experience, with a strong emphasis on systems design, process engineering, or claims transformation - A proven track record of managing TPA and vendor operations while simultaneously driving continuous improvement and systems integration - Experience identifying manual or vendor-dependent workflows and replacing them with technology-enabled solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency - Hands-on fluency with LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT — you know how to build prompts, map logic, and use AI to multiply your output, not just talk about it - Advanced data analysis skills and the ability to independently extract insights that drive bold financial decisions - Executive-level communication skills — you can influence a partner CEO and an internal Product lead in the same afternoon - Insurtech or startup experience is a strong plus - Ability to work in a remote environment - College Degree Please note that we are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas. Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $135,000 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
