Senior Product Designer

ABOUT KATAPULT LABS Katapult is an AI-first engineering studio connecting senior LATAM talent with startups and companies in the US. We're not a staff-augmentation shop: every person we put in front of a client represents Katapult, co-creates product, and owns the outcome directly, with no managers or leads acting as a layer in between. THE ROLE We're looking for a Designer to join the founding team behind one of our partners, an early-stage consumer product aiming to become a real tech company with a strong visual and cultural identity. This is a part-time engagement for someone with sharp aesthetic instincts and genuine creative range, someone who has moved beyond just executing and can bring a point of view to the product's look, feel, and voice. You'll work closely with the product lead and full-stack builder to shape an experience that feels polished, engaging, and culturally relevant, especially around social and video content. This role suits someone who has grown into a creative director type of profile: strategic, well organized, highly professional, and deeply tuned into what makes content and products go viral. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Design the core visual identity and user experience for an early-stage consumer product - Partner closely with the product lead to translate product decisions into polished design - Bring strong instincts around virality, social content, and video-first design trends - Maintain a professional, organized, and highly responsive way of working within a fast-moving founding team REQUIREMENTS - Advanced conversational English, since all collaboration happens in English - Strong design portfolio showing high-quality, aesthetically polished consumer product work - Proven experience in UI/UX design, with a strong understanding of user flows, interface design, usability, and interaction patterns - Experience or clear instinct for virality, social platforms, and video content design - Creative director-level maturity: able to bring a point of view, not just execute instructions - Comfortable working with AI design platforms and tools (e.g. Claude Design) to accelerate and elevate the design process - Highly professional, organized, and reliable, with strong follow-through NICE TO HAVE - Background in AI-assisted video or content design - Experience designing for consumer social or entertainment products - Prior work as a creative director or in a similar leadership design role Work-Life Balance - Work from Anywhere in Latin America: Enjoy the freedom to work remotely from any country in Latin America. - 23 Days of PTO per Year: Take time to recharge with paid time off, accrued monthly (1.91 days/month). - USA Federal Holidays Financial Benefits - Monthly Payment in USD: Get paid in US dollars, no matter where you are. - Contractor Agreement with No End Date: Enjoy the stability of a long-term contract.
