Internship/Volunteer - Digital Innovation, Data and ICT Officer

Context The ISS General Secretariat is strengthening its capacity and expertise in the areas of digital innovation, data, information and communication technologies (ICT), artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and data protection. We are seeking an intern/volunteer to support the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving the use of data and digital technologies across the organisation. The assignment will contribute to the ongoing digital transformation of the ISS General Secretariat, including the development and improvement of digital platforms, processes and tools, as well as the exploration of opportunities offered by data analysis and emerging technologies, including AI. A key focus of this assignment will also be to support work related to cybersecurity, information security and data protection, helping to promote secure, responsible and effective use of digital technologies and information. In line with the priorities of the General Secretariat, responsibilities may include: · Data analysis and management · Digital transformation and digital platforms – supporting the review, improvement and development of digital tools, platforms and processes · Artificial intelligence and digital innovation – exploring opportunities for the responsible use of AI and emerging technologies to support organisational processes and activities · Cybersecurity and information security – supporting research, awareness and initiatives related to digital security and risk management · Data protection and privacy – supporting good practices related to the responsible management, protection and use of data · ICT support and innovation – contributing to the identification and implementation of technology based solutions that improve organisational efficiency and collaboration Duration: 6 months or upon agreement. Work Rate and Conditions: 20% - 80% upon agreement : · Unpaid internship if validated by academic, school or professional training program or · On voluntary basis Profile: · Background in ICT, computer science, data science, information systems, digital transformation, cybersecurity, AI or another relevant field · Strong interest in digital innovation, technology and the responsible use of emerging technologies · Experience in data analysis, AI, digital platforms and/or automation · Familiarity with cybersecurity, information security, data protection and privacy · Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Strong English skills (asset: other languages) · Expertise in data analysis tools, digital platforms and/or AI tools – an asset · Experience with cybersecurity, data protection or ICT systems – an asset · Interest in child rights, child protection and international social work
