The Role Your role Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world's MIPS and open up the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. In this role, you'll manage and administer the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations. What you will do Maintain and Protect: • Optimize systems: Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance. • Set security protocols: You'll be responsible for managing user access and implementing policies and procedures to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access and external threats. Strategize to Scale: • Plan ahead: You will conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, ensuring that our system is always scalable to meet our business needs. • Make progress: You'll be a strategic partner, working closely with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals. • Generate ideas: You'll have the opportunity to propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system, enabling us to deliver world-class services to our customers. Recover and Resolve: • Be ready to recover: Develop strong backup and recovery plans to ensure that our system is always protected in the event of a failure. • Support solutions: Use your technical acumen to support end users and application developers in solving complex problems related to our database systems. Who You Are Required skills and experience • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 implementation and management • VMware ESXi experience • Public/private cloud management, especially migration from on-prem to cloud Preferred skills and experience • Automation experience, especially IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) • Vulnerability management • On prem AD FS (Active Directory Federation Services) with Microsoft Active Directory (AD), and/or Azure AD Being You The "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
