ABOUT THE TEAM: As a Senior Security Engineer, Platform Security at the forefront of blockchain security, you will work across cloud infrastructure, security operations, and AI platform reliability. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable troubleshooting production systems, navigating AWS and Kubernetes environments, and partnering closely with engineering teams to drive issues to resolution. You’ll help strengthen the security posture of a mission-critical platform while also supporting the company’s Hosted AI Platform through monitoring, investigation, and operational response. You will be a key partner to product, platform, and infrastructure engineering teams, driving remediation efforts and helping enforce practical security controls in live environments. Beyond daily operations, you will participate in a shared on-call rotation—once every four weeks, with onboarding and support from senior engineers—to respond to issues affecting the Hosted AI Platform and related security tooling. Join us to help secure and operate the infrastructure behind decentralized trust. IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL: - Perform Cloud Infrastructure Engineering in AWS and Kubernetes-based production environments, including inspecting pod health, reviewing logs, diagnosing restarts, and helping determine root cause or escalation paths. - Use monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Humio, ELK, or similar platforms to investigate incidents, search logs, and validate system behavior. - Contribute Python scripts and small automation workflows for repetitive tasks, log parsing, remediation support, or operational efficiency. - Participate in an on-call rotation supporting the company’s Hosted AI Platform, providing structured triage, communication, documentation, and resolution or hand-off as needed. - Read and make targeted, well-reviewed changes to Infrastructure-as-Code and platform configuration, including Terraform and Kubernetes manifests, to strengthen guardrails and reduce operational risk. - Support security reviews for new services and major infrastructure changes, helping identify misconfigurations and recommending practical mitigations that fit how teams build and operate. - Collaborate with partners across Security, IT, Platform Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Investigations, building strong working relationships and practicing clear, empathetic communication. WE’RE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE: - Experience working in AWS cloud environments in a security, operations, or infrastructure engineering capacity. - Hands-on experience troubleshooting production systems; this is not a purely policy, audit, or advisory role. - Experience using Python for scripting, automation, log parsing, or remediation workflows. - Familiarity with AWS logging and telemetry pipelines, including CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and S3 log aggregation. - Hands-on Kubernetes & Terraform experience, including inspecting pods, reading logs, troubleshooting restarts, and navigating deployments in production. - Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation once every four weeks supporting the company’s Hosted AI Platform. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain what you’re seeing and what you recommend as a next step to both technical and non-technical audiences. - A learning mindset and growth orientation: you’re comfortable asking questions, seeking feedback, and taking ownership. NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE: - Exposure to AI infrastructure, AI platform operations, or LLM-based systems. - Exposure to crypto, blockchain, or other high-availability cloud infrastructures. TECHNOLOGIES WE USE: - Cloud and containers: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) - Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform - Monitoring and logging: Datadog, Humio, Grafana, CloudWatch, CloudTrail - Security tooling: Wiz, Cloudflare - CI/CD and source control: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related build/deploy tooling - Languages and scripting: Python, Go, Java, Javascript AI at Chainalysis AI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working.
