The Role Through your role you will be responsible for the following areas: Develops, implements and maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides a record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Salary Range 1,770.00 - 3,020.00 EUR Monthly. The final salary offer depends on the selected candidate's skills and experience. Who You Are Who You Are Required Qualifications University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (local accounting certification is a strong advantage). Solid experience in statutory accounting and local bookkeeping. Strong knowledge of local GAAP, tax requirements, and statutory compliance obligations. Experience working with monthly accounting cycles and local ledger maintenance. Ability to understand and reconcile differences between local GAAP and US GAAP. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP systems (SAP preferred). High attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines and regulatory timelines. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate confidently with both local and global stakeholders. Fluency in English required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting statutory audits and tax audits. Exposure to multinational environments and group reporting structures. Familiarity with SAF-T reporting requirements and local compliance frameworks. Experience in process improvement or transition of accounting activities from external providers. Knowledge of Bulgarian accounting standards, or Bulgarian language proficiency or certification, is a plus. The salary range for the position in Slovakia is 1,770 EUR to 3,000 EUR based on a full-time schedule at the time of posting. Your final compensation offer may vary depending on several factors such as job-related skills, education and experience that selected candidates bring to the team. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below the local minimum wage requirement.
