Web designer who hates SaaS templates — paid test

We're a travel insurance technology company. We've just completed a brand strategy sprint and now have a clear identity, brand character, messaging architecture, and locked palette/typeface. What we don't have: a homepage that lives up to it. What we are looking for A designer who can take a strong brand brief and translate it into a web design that could not belong to any other company, and then build it. We're not a startup that needs to "look credible." We're an established platform (30+ partners, 25 markets, 20 years of industry experience) that needs to look different — in a category where everyone looks the same. Think: Liquid Death energy applied to B2B. Not the skulls — the conviction. The refusal to look like the category. The confidence to break the template. You're a good fit if Your portfolio has at least one project where the design is clearly opinionated — not "clean and modern" but genuinely distinctive You know the difference between "warm" and "soft" — we want the first, not the second You've designed for B2B before and understand that "differentiated" doesn't mean "weird" — it means unmistakable You can work within tight constraints (locked palette, locked typeface, locked copy direction) and still produce something surprising You're NOT a good fit if Your portfolio is mostly UI kits, dashboards, or app screens Your default is hero + feature cards + metrics strip + testimonials + CTA You rely on stock photography or illustration libraries to carry the visual identity You'd describe your style as "clean and minimal" — we need more point of view than that We're hiring a few designers for a paid test.
