UX/UI Designer (Storyboards for SaaS Videos)

Apollo is looking for a UX/UI Designer to play a highly important role in how we turn client products into clear, compelling visual stories. This is not a standard UX/UI role. We’re looking for someone who can understand a client’s product deeply, work directly with the client to help shape the storyboard, and then guide the motion designer by creating strong visual direction for execution. This role sits at the intersection of product understanding, UX/UI design, storytelling, and creative direction. The ideal candidate is strong in UX/UI, has excellent taste in visual design and structure, and can think strategically about how to communicate product features, workflows, and value through storyboarded scenes. Experience or fluency in motion design is a major plus. What this role will do Work directly with clients to understand their product, priorities, and messaging Help lead the storyboard process by identifying the clearest and most compelling way to communicate the product Turn product complexity into simple, engaging visual storytelling Create storyboard frames, product scenes, and UI designs that support the story Design polished, modern UI visuals that are built for animation Provide clear visual direction to the motion designer during execution Collaborate closely with creative leadership, clients, and motion designers to make sure the final video is both strategically strong and visually excellent Help bridge the gap between product understanding and motion execution What we’re looking for Strong UX/UI design skills Strong ability to understand digital products and user flows quickly Ability to work directly with clients and guide conversations around product storytelling Ability to translate ideas, scripts, demos, or workflows into strong storyboard direction Strong eye for layout, hierarchy, composition, and modern product design Ability to create work that gives a motion designer clear, thoughtful direction Strong communication skills and confidence in collaborative, client-facing settings High attention to detail and strong design taste Big plus if you have Motion design experience or a strong understanding of motion workflows Experience working on explainer videos, product marketing videos, launch videos, or demo-focused creative Experience with B2B SaaS or tech products Experience creating polished product visuals in Figma for presentation or animation use Experience collaborating with animators, editors, or motion designers This role is a great fit if you Love turning complex products into clear stories Enjoy working directly with clients to shape creative direction Can lead the visual thinking behind a project, not just the design execution Understand how to create designs that set up motion designers for success Have a strong eye for product UI and how to present it in a compelling way
