UI/UX Designer for SaaS and Mobile App Design

Overview Stevens is a product design and engineering agency. We're staffing a senior UI/UX Designer for a 60-day engagement with our venture-backed client, who is building a connected product suite — a SaaS web app plus multiple companion mobile experiences sharing one design language. You'll own design end-to-end and interact directly with the client. We're looking for a strong portfolio and proven experience designing with developer handoff in mind. Responsibilities Design the SaaS web app end-to-end: onboarding, core workflows, dashboards, settings, and edge states. Design multiple connected iOS and Android experiences that share a system with the web app. Build and maintain a Figma component library and design system that scales across web and mobile. Deliver developer-ready Figma files: organized layers, named components, auto-layout, documented tokens, prototypes where useful, and notes on edge cases. Pair with our engineering team during handoff and answer implementation questions quickly. Present work directly to the client, take feedback, and iterate. Run wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and usability testing as needed to pressure-test design decisions. Work tickets in Jira alongside engineering. Requirements Portfolio must show both SaaS web and native mobile work. Proven dev-handoff experience. Built or extended a design system across multiple products or platforms. Expert in Figma: components, variants, auto-layout, variables/tokens, prototyping. Client-facing confidence. Comfortable presenting to founders and leading design conversations. Comfortable working tickets in Jira and inside an engineering team's process. Bonus Agency or consultancy experience. Familiarity with React, React Native, or SwiftUI. Motion and micro-interaction design. Prior work on a multi-app product suite that shares a single system.
